Good Food, Good Cause

Epicurean Experience 2009 was a resounding success! Despite an unexpected cold snap, fans of good food and a good cause didn’t let the weather spoil their day of dining out in support of the Lois Hole Hospital for Women.

Chinese Community Spirit

On Friday March 27 the Edmonton Chinese Community presented An Evening with Mr. Krishan Joshee, a gala event celebrating the life’s work of Krishan Joshee.

Along with the accolades for Mr. Joshee, the Chinese Benevolent Association and members of the Edmonton Chinese Community presented a cheque for the amount of $72,500 to the Lois Hole Hospital for Women.

A Touch of Spring

For the second year in a row, florists across Alberta sent out a message of hope and compassion by taking part in the Hope is Blooming event. With a snowy winter lingering across Alberta, the pink and yellow flowers provided a welcome touch of spring.

The Lois Hole Hospital for Women is being built on the campus of the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Named for Alberta's former lieutenant governor, the Hon. Lois Hole (1929-2005), the Lois Hole Hospital for Women will be a pre-eminent centre of women's healthcare, teaching and research, and will provide leadership to the Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alberta.
